Dr. Aiken is the author of several books, including: To Be A Jewish Woman, Why Me, God? A Jewish Guide To Coping With Suffering, and Beyond Bashert: A Guide To Dating and Marriage Enrichment. Dr. Aiken lives in Jerusalem, where she is a psychologist, author, public speaker, and licensed Israeli tour guide. This lecture is generously sponsored by John and Paula Boddie. Saturday, November 20 — Pre-Hannukah Bash at the Planetarium, 9:30 p.m.

At the H.R. MacMillan Space Center, 1100 Chestnut St. This year’s biggest holiday party. Kick off the holiday season with more than 200 Jewish young professionals at the 2010 Pre-Hanukah Bash at the Planetarium. Cheap drinks, a DJ spinning tunes all night long and a wild after-party at Astoria to follow. Transportation available from the Broadway/Cambie Canada Line station at 9:30 sharp. Transportation also available following the party with stops at Canada Line (Broadway and Cambie). Tickets: $5 advance, $8 door. All proceeds go to Food Not Bombs to help feed the DTES community.
